Duniya Phirangi Syapa Hai!! Dil Bole Hadippa!!….
Looks like after Dhan Te Nan Shahid is all set to create a new national anthem…His sophisticated looks and body is a real treat for the Women audience!
Not only Shahid but, it’s a breath of fresh air to see Rani tickling the audience with her humor… Something janta stopped expecting from her after last few serious roles.
The story begins with a Punjabi kudi Veera Kaur (Rani Mukherjee) challenging a Pind da Munda over hitting sixers for every ball thrown by him. And of course she wins! This opening makes the audience aware of her craze for cricket.
She is ready to do anything to get herself in the Cricket Team.
Enter Aman Cup!! It’s a cricket tournament founded by two friends- Vikram Singh (Vicky) The Indian team lead (Anupam Kher) and Liyaqat Ali Khan (Lucky) Pakistani team lead (Dilip Tahil). One a Punjabi and the other a Pakistani! The legend of this cup is that Indian team always looses! There is a lot of exaggeration at this point on the sentimental importance of Cricket for Vicky (Anupam Kher). Veera is also disturbed about Indian Team’s performance in Aman Cup!
The movie is then splashed with a couple of colorful songs with Shanno (Rakhi Sawant) showing some of her talents!!
Veera apparently is good in dancing too! As she is confident that “Aisa ek bhi munda paida nahi hua jo Veera ko out kar sake!”
Enter Rohan (Shahid Kapoor) a Vilayti Babu from London, who is a Cricket Star!! He lives with his mom (Poonam Dhillon). Story unfolds: Rohan happens to be Vicky’s son! Who is currently brooding over yet another failure in the Aman Cup. So Vicky calls on his Son on the pretext of a Heart Attack! Rohan comes to India to find his dad all hale and hearty.
Vicky asks Rohan to help him out and save his Cricket team.
One fine day Rohan meets Veera where they have a usual tussle of India v/s Vilayat!
Now comes the humorous part when Rohan is the new Captain/Coach of Aman team and Veera disguises herself as Veer to be a part of it. Rohan has no clue. Veer is an excellent batsman!! Audience will roll with laughter at her attempt to blend in the guy team and to do all the strenuous exercises!!

The cricket practice continues. On the other hand after a couple of songs Rohan falls for Veera! And then the roller coaster ride starts.
One fine day during cricket practice Rohan finds Veera in the men’s room naked! After a lot of drama Veera escapes his questions saying that Veer is her brother! Veer gets a lot of preferential treatment from Rohan after that! Rohan still has no clue about the Veera-Veer disguise.
When the final match is days away and Rohan proposes his love to Veera!!
Then comes the shocking twist! But you will have to watch it for yourself!!
Rani and Shahid are really exceptional. The dance numbers are groovy. Specially the Dil Bole Hadippa Remix at the end of the movie. It makes the audience stick to their seats and makes them go Hadippa!!
I would call it a 3/5. A great stress buster, especially after a hard day at office! J
